Pinellas roundup: SPC, Pinellas Park, IRC advance

SARASOTA — Jaquan Fuller scored four touchdowns Friday night and St. Pete Catholic held on to defeat Sarasota Cardinal Mooney, 35-34, in the Class 3A-Region 3 semifinals.

After Fuller scored on a 19-yard fourth-down run to put the Barons ahead, 35-28, Mooney scored to make it 35-34. However, the Cougars missed the extra point.

Fuller had a 99-yard kickoff return to open the game and had two TD runs of 11 yards.

7A-3: Pinellas Park rolls to 32-7 victory

SARASOTA — Early TDs by Kal-El Williams and Pierre Johnson gave the Patriots an early lead they would not surrender in the Class 7A-Region 3 quarterfinal against Sarasota. Pinellas Park advances to play at East Lake

2A-3: Indian Rocks Christian wins 24-22

LARGO — Theo Anderson scored a pair of rushing TDs and the Golden Eagles held on to defeat Moore Haven in a Class 2A-Region 3 semifinal.

With the score tied at 3 in the second quarter, Anderson scored from 1 yard to give Indian Rocks a 10-3 advantage. Zeke McGaughy’s 7-yard score made it 17-3.
