NEED TO KNOW: In a soccer match between arguably Pasco County’s top two girls soccer teams and the two remaining undefeated teams, the Mustangs and Gators are essentially playing for the Sunshine Athletic Conference title tonight. The Mustangs, which reached the state semifinals last season, have outscored opponents 92-4 and are led by leading scorer, freshmen Sabrina Wagner and her 26 goals. Senior Taylor Meek has also scored 18, while senior keeper Erica Disbrow has 44 saves, allowed just three goals and posted 11 shutouts. The Gators are outscoring opponents 110-11 and have five players in double digits with goals, led by sophomore Victoria Cannata (21). Samantha Epifanio (15), Brooke Silvest (13), Savanna Ronk (10) and Makenzie Fish (10) are the other goal scorers. Keeper Lauren Arrabito has eight shutouts and 45 saves. BOYS BASKETBALL

WHO: Brooksville Nature Coast (12-2) at Mitchell (12-1)

WHEN: Tonight, 7:30

WHERE: 2323 Little Road, New Port Richey

NEED TO KNOW: The Sharks has already knocked off a Pasco County-power Wesley Chapel on Dec. 13 in a 47-43 decision. Now, Mitchell will get its crack at Hernando County’s best team, as the Mustangs are coming off their first loss to state-power Florida Air Academy. The Mustangs have a balanced attack on the offensive end, led by junior Lawrence Watt (16.1 ppg) and seniors Bernie Conley (10.2 ppg) and Sean Thompson (10.1 ppg). Mitchell will look to keep Sharks’ leading scorers Carlos Clemente (15 ppg) and Jordan Burkes (13.3 ppg) at bay.
