Pasco position breakdown: Linebackers

With football season approaching, we’re taking a look at the top players at their positions. Call it our big board, if you will, and we’ll be naming the top players in Pasco County. We round out the positions today with linebackers and the kickers:

Willie Barrett, Anclote, Sr.

Will lead the Sharks linebackers after picking up 56 tackles, a sack and a crucial interception that sealed the team’s 2012 postseason berth.

Brandon Debyah, Pasco, Jr.

Led the 12-1 Pirates with 91 tackles as a sophomore, plus added two interceptions, 2 1/2 sacks and a fumble recovery.

Nalu Fraticelli, Wesley Chapel, Sr.

Should lead the Wildcats defense this year after being an all-conference selection as a junior after picking up 108 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Darius Wells, Land O’ Lakes, Sr.

Established starter had 104 tackles to lead the Gators as a junior.

Ben Wood, Sunlake, Sr.

Led Sunlake in tackles (86) and sacks (seven) as a junior in only eight games last year.
