TRINITY — Mitchell running back Nate Boler ran for 207 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries, leading the Mustangs past Fivay on Friday.
Fivay is 3-4 overall and 0-2 in Class 6A-District 6. Mitchell is 5-3 and 1-2 in district play.
Mitchell’s Keith Scatterwhite scored on a 2-yard run with 6:45 left in the first quarter. The attempted point-after failed.
Boler raced 33 yards for a touchdown with 3:17 left in the first quarter. John Schwind booted the PAT.
Fivay’s Josh Jones booted a 37-yard field goal at 6:24 in the second quarter.
Boler, who rushed for 86 yards on seven carries in the first half, had an 18-yard touchdown run with 9:37 left in the third period.
Fivay’s Taylor scored next, on a 1-yard plunge with 1:03 left in the third period.
Mitchell’s Will Fairbank scored on a 10-yard run with 9:23 left in the game. Boler’s 25-yard run in that offensive series set up the score.
Boler ended the game’s scoring with a 39-yard TD run with eight minutes left in the game.
Next week, Fivay is at Land O’ Lakes, while Mitchell is at Spring Hill Springstead.
