Jesuit jumped to a 14-0 lead and then fought off several Tampa Catholic comebacks before finally putting the Crusaders away, 74-57.
The Crusaders (18-8) cut the gap to 50-45 early in the fourth quarter only to have Jesuit (24-1) answer with a 15-0 run that included the fouling out of Tampa Catholic star Chivarsky Corbett.
"Our team stays very cool, and we never had to say a word to them when (TC) got close," Jesuit coach Neal Goldman said. "We knew (TC) was going to make a run at us, and we just had to keep scoring points."
Devin Harris led the Tigers with 19 points, followed by Travis Johnson with 18 and Jack Fleming with 14.
Corbett, who had been fighting a flu bug, led TC with 15 points, followed by Isiah Thomas with 14.
