Jesuit 36, Trinity Catholic 34

TAMPA — A fast, hard-hitting, opportunistic Jesuit team had enough weapons to hold off Ocala-Trinity Catholic's late surge.

The Tigers (4-3) showed their depth by having four players score a touchdown — one on an interception return — to go into halftime with a 31-14 lead.

Christian Williams' 25-yard touchdown reception opened the scoring, and Devyn Freeland's 78-yard interception return for a score set the tone for Jesuit.

However, Trinity Catholic (4-3) made it interesting in the second half. Jesuit lost its rhythm and looked nothing like the team that was overpowering in the first half.

The Celtics' Dominique Brown scored two quick touchdowns — one on offense and the other on the defense. Quarterback Reid Carlton also got into the action with a 31-yard touchdown run. Trinity Catholic's big defensive front manhandled the Tigers' offensive line, wreaking havoc in the passing and running game.

On the Celtics' last possession, Travell Harris' interception sealed the win for the Tigers.

Vincent Testaverde finished 13 of 24 passing for 118 yards for Jesuit.
