Armwood (2-0) at Hillsborough (0-1): It’s the second game of the season for the Terriers, but it is a MUST win in Class 6A-District 8. A Terrier loss could mean no playoffs.
Tampa Bay Tech (0-1) at Durant (0-2): Tech has had two weeks to stew over a season-opening loss to Newsome. Look out Cougars.
Sickles (2-0) at Newsome (2-0): Gryphon Ray Ray McCloud has more than 400 yards rushing in two games. Could he have 600 after three?
Alonso (1-1) at East Bay (2-0): The Ravens looked much better in Week 2 after a sloppy effort in the season opener. East Bay has been consistent.
Brandon (1-1) at Riverview (1-1): Take a coin and flip it. This will probably go right down to the wire.
Plant (1-0-1) at Gaither (1-1): Panthers QB Colby Brown injured his throwing hand and might be limited. Gaither needs to stay focused after tough loss last week to Newsome.
Middleton (0-2) at King (2-0): The Lions haven’t started a season 3-0 in many years. It could happen in 2013.
Wharton (1-1) at Freedom (1-1): Wildcat QB Chase Litton injured his wrist, which could hurt his play. Wildcats will also be without DE Antonio Joseph, who injured his leg.
Orlando Lake Highland Prep (0-2) at Berkeley Prep (2-0): Lake Highland gave the Bucs a tough game last year before losing 24-23. This year might be another story.
Tampa Catholic (1-1) at Tarpon Springs (2-0): Considering their size, the Crusaders have one of the toughest schedules in the state. Spongers provide yet another tough challenge.
Jefferson (2-0) at Robinson (0-2): The Dragons better not look past the Knights to next week’s 6A-8 game against Armwood. Robinson isn’t backing down from anybody.
Steinbrenner (0-2) at Spoto (0-2): Spoto has given up 66 points in two games. That average should drop against Steinbrenner, which has scored 17 points in two games.
Lennard (0-2) at Chamberlain (1-1): Lennard is bigger, stronger and better than last year when it went 0-10. Maybe this week the Longhorns can break that losing streak.
Leto (0-2) at Blake (0-2): One of the best chances for both teams to get a victory this season.
Shorecrest (1-0) at Carrollwood Day School (0-2): CDS is ripe for a victory. Although the Patriots could be 0-3 after this game, even though they seem much better than that.
Strawberry Crest (1-1) at Tallahassee Leon (1-1): Will a five-hour drive to Tallahassee take a toll on the Chargers. We shall see.
Seffner Christian (2-0) at Merritt Island Christian (0-2): Crusader Robbie Shell scored six touchdowns last week. How many this week?
Bishop McLaughlin (1-1) at Cambridge Christian (0-2): The Lancers offense has been unpredictable, much like the outcome of this game.
Jesuit (1-1) at Clearwater Central Catholic (1-1): Still stinging from a 13-10 OT loss to Tampa Catholic last week, can CCC rebound against Jesuit?
