First Team

Offense

QB James Few, Plant, Sr.: One of the state's most improved players, passed for 2,513 yards and 29 TDs with a 65 percent completion rate en route to Plant's fourth state title.

RB Nelson Agholor, Berkeley Prep, Sr.: Five-star recruit churned out 1,983 yards and 28 TDs without a fumble en route to leading Bucs to state semifinals.

RB Robert Davis, Carrollwood Day, Jr.: In just 10 games, rushed for 1,832 yards on 138 carries to average 13.28 yards per carry, as well as scoring 25 TDs.

RB Wesley Bullock, Plant, Jr.: A 5-foot-6 dynamo who rushed for 1,282 yards and 12 TDs, including 124 yards and 1 TD in Panthers' state title championship game.

RB Xavier Johnson, Chamberlain, Jr.: Enjoyed break-out season with 1,736 yards and 16 TDs and just one fumble on 231 carries.

WR Austin Aikens, Plant, Sr.: Panthers' big-play producer, averaging nearly 20 yards a reception and scoring a TD every 3.3 catches.

WR Chris Murray, King, Sr.: Hauled in 38 catches for 873 yards and averaged nearly 23 yards per reception in one of the most competitive districts in the state.

WR Bryce Walker, Jesuit, Sr.: Tigers' inspirational leader and go-to guy in the clutch, tallying 8 TDs and averaging 22-plus yards per catch while totaling nearly 800 yards.

OL Cody Waldrop, Armwood, Sr.: Hawks' anchor at left guard was also a vocal leader en route to state title and accepting South Carolina offer.

OL Cameron Dees, Armwood, Sr.: Consistently tough to beat, Armwood's center of the line is headed to Marshall.

OL Robert Gibbons, Jesuit, Sr.: Piled up 38 pancake blocks this season while helping Tigers average more than 300 yards of offense and 30 points per game.

OL Kevin McCoy, Armwood, Sr.: Reliable right tackle is part of a Hawks line that paved the way for more than 300 yards of offense per game.

OL Jonathan Haney, Plant, Sr.: Heady captain of a line that helped the high-powered Panthers offense average more than 400 yards per game.

Defense

DL Allen Covington, Armwood, Sr.: First-year defensive player led nationally-ranked Hawks in sacks (12) and was fourth in total tackles (93).

DL Jordan Sherit, Hillsborough, Jr.: Emerged as one of the state's top recruits for 2013 after racking up team-highs in tackles (110), sacks (9) and fumble recoveries (5).

DL Tyriq McCord, Jefferson, Sr.: Highly-recruited senior recorded 60 solo tackles, 11.5 sacks and three forced fumbles while also making major contributions on offense.

DL Sheldon Lewinson, Armwood, Sr.: Wake Forest-bound senior was a menacing force with 80 tackles and four fumbles recovered, including a key one in state final.

LB Eric Striker, Armwood, Sr.: Hawks' vocal leader and soon-to-be Oklahoma Sooner piled up 107 tackles and 11 sacks, with a game-high 12 tackles and two sacks in state final.

LB Keionne Baines, Armwood, Sr.: In first year at Armwood, came from virtually nowhere to lead Hawks in tackles (153).

LB Mike Tate, Plant, Sr.: State leader in tackles for all classes with a mind-boggling total of 204 in 15 games, including 110 solos. Also had 11 sacks.

LB Schyler Miles, Berkeley Prep, Sr.: Bucs' one-man wrecking crew with 123 tackles, six sacks, four fumbles caused and two recovered.

LB Josh Scarberry, Gaither, Sr.: Cowboys' inspirational leader on defense had a team-high 82 solo tackles, 14 sacks and five fumble recoveries.

DB Drew Madhu, Plant, Sr.: Stanford-bound free safety produced 106 total tackles out of the Panthers' secondary and knocked down 10 passes, including two in the state title game.

DB Vernon Hargreaves, Wharton, Jr.: Saw action all over the field for the Wildcats but was a true force on defense with four interceptions and three blocked field goals.

DB Antonio Crawford, Plant, Sr.: Panthers' do-everything senior accounted for more than 700 yards of offense while producing 60 tackles, four interceptions and 25 passes defended.

DB Leon McQuay, Armwood, Jr.: Saved his best performances for the postseason, where he came up with three interceptions, including one for a TD in the state title game.

DB Jarvis McCall, Armwood, Sr.: USF-bound senior led Hawks in interceptions (5), with one of those coming in the state championship game and returned 56 yards for a score.

Specialists

ATH Alvin Bailey, Armwood, Jr.: Hawks' do-everything, be-everywhere player was the key to their offensive prowess, producing 2,261 yards of total offense and 21 TDs.

ATH Brandon Holloway, Alonso, Sr.: One the state's fastest players, averaged more than 37 yards per kick return, 16 per punt return and creating 1,209 yards of total offense.

K Grant Van Aman, Plant, Sr.: converted more than 76 percent of field goal attempts, 82 percent of PATs and hit 37-yarder in state title game.

P Kody Thomas, Robinson, Sr.: Consistently outstanding punter, averaging 41.6 yards per kick and hitting five inside the 20.

RET Byron Pringle, Robinson, Sr.: Area's most feared return man, averaged 18.5 yards per punt return, 34 on kickoff returns, including three for TDs of 80-plus yards.

The Tampa Tribune All-Hillsborough County football team selections were coordinated by staff writer Bill Ward. The picks were based on regular season and postseason performances. The various all-conference teams selected by coaches were strongly considered. The Tribune's Player and Coach of the Year will be announced at the annual Parade of Athletes banquet in May.
