Positions breakdowns

With the high school football season fast approaching, we’re going to take a look at the top players at their positions. Call it our big board, if you will, and we’ll be naming the top players in Pasco County from receivers to linemen to kickers. Today, receivers and quarterbacks.

Tymere/Shymere Carter, Sr., Anclote

This twin brothers were a big part of the Sharks playoff run in 2012 and should help Anclote have a balanced offensive attack.

Nate Craig, So., Pasco

One of the best football talents in the bay area, after just seven receiving touchdowns as a freshman and then picking up 16 Divison-I offers in the offseason, is poised for a breakout season.

James Jackson, Jr., Wiregrass Ranch

A 6-foot-5 target makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing defensive backs.

Malik Johns, Sr., Pasco

A Divison-I talent with speed and athleticism, plus brings excitement to punt and kickoff returns

Jordan Roberts, Sr., Zephyrhills

Will be the Bulldogs top target, plus his speed and size are hard to defend.

Honorable mention

Anclote: Austin Rumer; Bishop McLaughlin: Will Potosky; Gulf: Ke’Shaun Peters; Land O’ Lakes: Kamal Wells, Ethan Weilant; Mitchell: Zach Rapaport; Pasco: Brandon Ray, Lane Stancil, R.J. Scaife; River Ridge: Quentin Snead; Wesley Chapel: Mark LaBarbera; Wiregrass Ranch: Jaye Miner.
