TAMPA — In a battle between the Bulls’ aerial attack and the Patriots’ ground game, Bloomingdale used a big fourth quarter to pull away for the win.
Bloomingdale scored the winning touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter when Isaiah McIntyre found Tyler Jahn from 5 yards out as its spread offense seemed to finally start to wear down the Freedom defense.
Lucas Jose’s 33-yard field goal with five minutes to go iced the game for the Bulls.
The Patriots piled up 225 yards on the ground — 149 coming from Andre Folkes on just 12 carries.
The Bulls threw for 201 yards and got touchdown passes from both McIntyre and Tommy McLaughlin.
Backup running back Calvin Bido-Vega accounted for both Patriot touchdowns, including a 45-yard cutback touchdown run that tied the game at 14 late in the third quarter.
