Clearing up Bracket Confusion

Armwood is undefeated and Plant has one loss. So how exactly do the Panthers get to host Friday night's playoff game?Published: December 1, 2008
The FHSAA alternates host sites every year. With the way the brackets are set up this year, the team on the top of the bracket gets home-field advantage. The winner of Friday's game will host the winner of the Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer/Miami Booker T.Washington game in the state semifinal on Dec. 12.
Last year, the regional final was at Armwood, with the Hawks prevailing, 36-7. In 2006, Plant hosted Armwood in the regional final. The Panthers won, 38-20, and went onto to win the Class 4A championship.
