Zephyrhills added six new faces to its roster of coaches.
Dan Muir will take over the volleyball team, replacing Tiffany Bibby, who led the squad to the 2007 Class 4A-Region 3 quarterfinals for the first time since 1999. In two seasons, Bibby guided the Bulldogs to a 45-12 record.
In the three seasons prior to her tenure, the team went 14-51.
"With volleyball, he worked with Coach Bibby last year," Zephyrhills athletic director Craig Milburn said. "Coach Bibby really did a good job, and I know they had the program where we wanted it, and hopefully he can step in and continue that."
Nancy Vickers, a new staff member from South Carolina, will join the team as the varsity assistant and head JV volleyball coach.
Jason Rouser, who ran the second leg on the USA's gold-medal 4x400-meter team in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, will coach receivers for the Bulldogs and assist with the track team.
Mike Mira takes over the girls soccer team, replacing DeDe Castro, who resigned before the start of school after leading the Bulldogs for two seasons.
"He's done club soccer for about 16 years, and has worked with a lot of our girls," Milburn said. "I think the girls are kind of excited about that, and I'm looking forward to having him on staff as well."
Dustin Rowe, who volunteered with the Zephyrhills basketball team last season, will take over as the JV boys basketball coach and a varsity assistant.
Also, Katie Honaker is the new varsity cheerleading assistant and JV head coach.
