WESLEY CHAPEL Led by running back Ethan Englebert, the Indian Rocks Christian held off a late rally by Wiregrass Ranch.

Englebert carried the ball 17 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns for the Golden Eagles. Louis Mason and Jonny Sitton also had touchdown runs for the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles led 20-6 at halftime, and could have held a larger lead but for but , the Bulls must have felt good going into halftime. In the first half they kept the game in reach thanks to two interceptions by Josiah Johnson deep in Bulls territory. Wiregrass Ranch cut into the Golden Eagles' lead early in the second half, as Nick Lomba scored on a 38-yard touchdown run. After a fake field-goal resulted in a converted two-point conversion, Tarik Nasser scored on a 45-yard fumble return to give the Bulls a 21-20 lead.

Indian Rocks Christian retook the lead, going up 26-21, but Wiregrass Ranch had a chance to win the game with just over a minute to play. After a fourth down conversion on a deflected pass from James Trignali to Blake Birch put the Bulls at the 1 yard-line, the Golden Eagles stiffened, and after the Bulls lost a yard on first-and-goal, Trignali had the ball knocked loose as he was rolling out looking for a receiver, preserving the win for Indian Rocks.
