Former Bolts captain St. Louis’ mother dies

Former Tampa Bay Lightning captain Marty St. Louis lost his mother, France, on Thursday after battling the effects of a heart attack.

The news was confirmed by the Lightning late Thursday night.

According to reports, France suffered a heart attack was in the hospital, where she passed away. She was 63.

St. Louis, who spent 13 seasons with the Lightning helping Tampa Bay win a Stanley Cup championship in 2004, was traded to the New York Rangers on March 5. St. Louis has one year remaining on his contract
