Picture-perfect weather, ideal scoring conditions and a talented field added up to some outstanding action in Saturday's annual Highlands County Home Builder's Association golf tournament.
The one-day, 18-hole tournament, which was held at Pinecrest golf club, used a four-person scramble format and the foursome of Randy Proctor, Vince Liles, Blake Liles and Grover Crawford finished first in the First Flight with a sizzling 16-under-par 56.
Placing a close second in the First Flight with a 57 was the team of Ken Poe, Tom Bates, Larry Baxter and Joe Burgoyne.
The Second Flight was won by the group of Dale Bradley, Wayne Hermaus, Glen Prehn and Berry Tupper with a 58, while Nathan Brewer, Muzaffra Abbos, Scott Baker and Darren Sapp were runner-up with a 62.
Coming in third place in the Second Flight was the foursome of Mike Secor, Eric Secor, Pat Bentz and Dan Bowers with a 63.
The Third Flight was won by the team of Keith Carter, Kris Williams, Tony Grozzo and Ronnnie Carter with a 10-under-par 62, while Janet Walker, Linda Dawlke, Steve Scheck and Steve Marquart placed second with a 64.
The foursome of Barry Bittner, Mike Traegde, Bret Goldman and Ken Danielson finished third with a 66.
Closest-to-the-pin winners were Berry Tupper on hole No. 5, Jay Cale on No. 7, Erik Flippin on No. 10 and Mike Balsamo on No. 12.
The annual tournament attracted a field of 76 golfers who made plenty of birdies on the difficult Pinecrest course.
