GAINESVILLE Coach Urban Meyer confirmed a report that QB Tim Tebow injured his knee in Florida's 38-7 win over Arkansas.

"It was on the interception, he tweaked it a little bit," Meyer said. "He's never missed any time or missed anything. He was just sore. He's fine.

Tebow did not miss any practice time despite suffering what Meyer called a hyperextended knee.

Meyer's statement came after many wondered if the reigning Heisman Trophy winner was playing through an injury during his somewhat lackluster start to his season.

"He's fine," Meyer said. "Go to sleep tonight knowing that he's fine."

PATCHING UP THE LINE: Freshman Matt Patchan (Armwood) has made a definite impact on the Gators' defensive line. Patchan has been part of a nine-man rotation this season that gives the Gators the depth they dreamed about last year.

Patchan was rewarded by receiving his first career start against Kentucky last week.
"He's getting better, he really is,"defensive line coach Dan McCarney said. "He didn't have a super game, but he's getting better. It's easy to forget, because he plays so hard and practices so hard, that he's still a freshman. A true freshman playing in the trenches in the SEC.
