Model Brooklyn Decker landed the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover this year.

The 22-year-old wife of tennis star Andy Roddick said being chosen for the cover, which hit newsstands Tuesday, is "the news of a lifetime."

The cover photo of Decker smiling in a yellow bikini is a departure from the more sultry look that SI had gone for the past few years, she said.

SI keeps the cover photo a secret - even from the models - until less than 24 hours before it's revealed. Decker said now the mad dash was on to find outfits for TV appearances that will come with the gig.

Dentist delays Lil Wayne's jail sentence

Rap star Lil Wayne has gotten a temporary reprieve from jail - for dental surgery.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper's sentencing in a New York City gun case was postponed Tuesday, because he needs to finish a string of recent surgeries before he goes to jail.

Lil Wayne, one of music's biggest sellers and rap's hottest stars, is poised to spend as much as a year in jail under a plea deal, though good behavior could shave that to as little as eight months.

Sentencing now is scheduled for March 2. Manhattan state Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon said it wouldn't be put off any further.

Gossett is battling prostate cancer

Oscar-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. says he is being treated for prostate cancer.

In the announcement Tuesday, Gossett says the disease was caught early and he expects to make a full recovery.

The 73-year-old actor says he is going public about the disease because there is not enough emphasis in the black community on fighting it with preventive examinations and early treatment.

Gossett has appeared in dozens of films. He won an Oscar for best supporting actor in 1983 for "An Officer and a Gentleman."
