TAMPA -

University of South Florida senior guard Andrea Smith was a second-round selection (35th overall) of the Connecticut Sun during Monday night's WNBA draft.

Smith averaged 16.3 points for the Bulls, who reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Smith and her identical twin, Andrell, who were both recruited by USF out of Lake Gibson High School, were key players for a Bulls team that received 35 votes in the final USA Today coaches’ poll.

Andrea Smith is the second USF player to be picked in the WNBA draft. Jessica Dickson was selected in 2007.
