USF (7-5) VS. CLEMSON (6-6)

WHERE/WHEN: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, N.C./Noon

TV/RADIO: ESPN/970 AM

NEED TO KNOW: The Bulls return to the site of the first bowl game in program history for the final game of Coach Skip Holtz's first season. USF, 3-2 all-time in bowl games and winner of its past two, lost 14-0 to N.C. State in its first trip to the Meineke Car Care Bowl in 2005. ... This is the first meeting between the Bulls and Tigers, who are 16-16 all-time in bowl games. ... A USF victory would give the program eight wins for a fifth-consecutive season. A Clemson win would give the program its 11th-consecutive winning season. ... Scoring could be at a premium as both schools rank among the top 25 nationally in total defense (USF 21st, Clemson 23rd) and scoring defense (Clemson 9th, USF 19th). ... Holtz still did not name a starting QB on Thursday, but reiterated both B.J. Daniels and Bobby Eveld will play.
