Two University of South Florida players are among 14 undrafted free agents signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday.
Center Chaz Hine and cornerback Quenton Washington will make the short drive from the USF campus to One Buc Place for the rookie minicammp that starts Friday.
In addition, former LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson told the New Orleans Times Picayune that he had been invited to Tampa for a tryout with the Bucs, though he was not signed Monday.
"They want to bring me in and see what I can do," Jefferson told the Times Picayune. "Because they are a new coaching staff they didn't get around to see enough of the prospects at the (NFL) Combine, so they are having the rookie camp early. I was definitely excited about getting that call Saturday night."
Other Big East players signed include Cincinnati quarterback Zach Collaros, West Virginia tight end Tyler Urban and tackle Desmond Wynn, who played for first-year Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano at Rutgers.
