TAMPA – The two men who allegedly taped a telephone conversation between Bucs general manager Mark Dominik and former Bills general manager Buddy Nix without their knowledge have been busted, according to WKBW TV in Buffalo.

The ABC affiliate reported Wednesday that two 20-year-old Plymouth, Mass. men were charged with intentionally intercepting a wire communication and with making a telephone call without disclosing their identity with the intent to annoy or harass the person at the called number.

Attorneys in the matter said Joshua Barber and Nicholas Kaiser initiated the prank earlier this offseason when they called Nix’s office claiming to be Dominik. Barber then called Dominik’s office claiming to be Nix.

Using redial and conference functions, Barber and Kaiser connected Nix and Dominik without the consent of the two NFL executives, and Kaiser proceeded to record the call, according to the report.

The complaint filed against Barber and Kaiser states that after recording the conversation between Nix and Dominik, the recording was sold to the website deadspin.com.
