TAMPA -

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers today released Jarriett Buie, a former Armwood High and University of South Florida standout defensive end, plus three other players.

The Bucs also released defensive back DeAngelo Willingham and guard Julius Wilson, and waived injured receiver Kelly Campbell.

Buie signed with the Bucs three months ago as an undrafted free agent. Although he showed flashes of potential, Buie (6-foot-3, 260 pounds) was among Tampa Bay's first cuts. It's possible Buie, or any other player, could be signed to Tampa Bay's practice squad after final cuts.

The NFL deadline to cut five roster players is Tuesday and Tampa Bay must still release one more. Final cuts will occur Sept. 5.
