Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe will miss the third and final day of the team's voluntary minicamp on Thursday because of a personal matter, but intends to be back with teammates Monday.
Briscoe was the only player among those expected to participate who did not show for the three-day minicamp, according to coach Greg Schiano, who said Wednesday he looked into the matter.
Briscoe, meanwhile, said in a Twitter post he is looking forward to rejoining his teammates.
"As for me not being at camp. There are personal reasons. I love my teammates and I'll be back at workouts Monday,'' Briscoe wrote. "I could of handled the situation better. Everyone that knows me know I'm a team player till I die. No individuals.''
Briscoe, a second-year pro, caught 35 passes for 387 yards and team-high six touchdowns last season.
