Roy Cummings, Ira Kaufman and Anwar Richardson provide on-field updates from today's practice session at One Buc Place.
5:35 p.m.: And that's it for today. We'll have more information about McCoy shortly - R.C.
5:18 p.m.: McCoy is leaving practice and was pointing to his right biceps while explaining what happened to his teammates. He injured his left biceps last year. - A.R.
5:12 p.m.: DT Gerald McCoy has his uniform off and is with the head trainer. He is working his right arm. - A.R.
5:06 p.m.: Rookie MLB Mason Foster has been getting a lot of first-team looks today and has been very solid. - A.R.
5:04 p.m.: DT Roy Miller looks like one of the most improved players on the team. The Bucs are having a very hard time keeping him out of the backfield with one blocker. - R.C.
4:53 p.m.: In the two-minute 11-on-11 drill, the defense is in nickel personnel but the MLB is not on the field; SLB Quincy Black is there instead. That could be one of the changes early on this season as the Bucs groom Tyrone McKenzie and Mason Foster for the MLB role. - R.C.
4:51 p.m.: Bucs are in two-minute drill mode right now, simulating end-of-half and end-of-game situations on offense. - A.R.
4:50 p.m.: Mike Williams is consistently getting five yards of separation on every defender. He might be the most precise route-runner in Bucs history. - I.K.
4:49 p.m.: Rookie TE Luke Stocker is off his crutches. Looks like he's right on schedule for a return to the field sometime next week or immediately after the first exhibition game at Kansas City. - R.C.
4:48 p.m.: Water break for the team. - A.R.
4:47 p.m.: LB Dekoda Watson is showing tremendous burst off the snap in pass-rushing drills. - I.K.
4:34 p.m.: Aqib Talib cannot stop Mike Williams. Period. Talib tries and just can't hang. It doesn't even seem fair at times. - A.R.
4:33 p.m.: Some of the O-linemen like RG Davin Joseph are making up for lost time. They look very fresh and they're hitting with authority today. - R.C.
4:28 p.m.: DE Adrian Clayborn just showed everyone why the Bucs spent a first-round pick on him. In an 11-on-11 drill he shed a block and stuffed RB LeGarrette Blount for no gain. - R.C.
4:26 p.m.: Bucs DBs are getting lit up in 1-on-1 drills vs receivers. It makes you wonder who that says more about. - A.R.
4:25 p.m.: Mason Foster is running with the first-team defense in its first 11-on-11 work today. - R.C.
4:23 p.m.: The new guy, QB Jonathan Crompton, is a little hard to find. He's wearing No. 8, but he's wearing a white jersey while all the other QBs are wearing orange jerseys. - R.C.
4:22 p.m.: TE Kellen Winslow is at practice and hasn't missed a day yet. Looks like the knee is doing great. - A.R.
4:18 p.m.: The linemen are going through some one+n-one and two-on-one drills. So far, Gerald McCoy has consistently beat his double team. - R.C.
4:14 p.m.: Yaphett from Tampa says, with what the Bucs have done the last two years, how can you NOT be a fan of the Buccaneers? - R.C.
4:13 p.m.: With a new CBA in place, Davin Joseph and Jeremy Trueblood are finally working up a sweat. - I.K.
4:11 p.m.: They've upgraded the giveaways here today. The cheerleaders, in full regalia, are tossing visors into the stands as well as miniature plastic footballs and popsicles. - R.C.
4:10 p.m.: Former Pro Bowl defensive tackle (and current defensive line coach) Keith Millard is on a back field, getting down and dirty with Bucs interior linemen. - I.K.
4:07 p.m.: You can tell that the time off has hurt Arrelious Benn a bit. He's not catching the ball as cleanly as he needs to today. - R.C.
4:06 p.m.: Now the receivers are working on keeping their feet in bounds. So far they're not doing too bad, but there is some room for improvement. - R.C.
4:04 p.m.: WR coach Eric Yarber is slapping his guys with boxing mitts, yelling "Ball security is job security!" He might be getting the best workouts of anybody on the team. - A.R.
4:02 p.m.: And when I say full-squad, I mean full-squad. Even fan fanatic Big Nasty is here. He's the guy who paints his face and has a big horn sticking out of the hard hat he wears. In tow is some guy who calls himself The A-Train Man, who paints his face and has a toy train sticking out of the hard hat he wears. I'm guessing he was an Alstott fan. Maybe it's time jumped on board the B-train known as LeGarrette Blount. - R.C.
3:55 p.m.: This will be the Bucs' first true full-squad workout of training camp. - R.C.
3:52 p.m.: The storm has passed and the boys are back on the field - R.C.
2:47 p.m.: Players just finished stretching and now are going inside because of lightning. Let's see when practice resumes. - A.R.
2:45 p.m.: The Bucs have just started practice, and it rain appears rain is on the horizon. We will see how much work they are able to get in. - A.R.
