TAMPA — Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis never fully regained his old form during the 2013 season, but his bounce back from a season-ending the injury the year before was good enough to earn the Comeback Player of the Year award.

Revis, who missed the last 14 games of the 2012 season after tearing the ACL in his right knee, was named the 2013 Comeback Player of the Year by The Sporting News on Thursday.

The honor capped a fifth Pro Bowl season for Revis. He started and played in all 16 games for the Bucs, recording 47 tackles, three tackles for loss, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a sack and was rated the top cover corner in the league by Pro Football Focus.
