Topps offers special Zimmer art print

Published:

The passing of Don Zimmer has been felt not only in the Tampa Bay area, but also throughout baseball. Zim’s 66 years in the game and his courageous comebacks from frightful beanings made him a beloved figure. The man bridged baseball from Babe Ruth to Jackie Robinson, and from Casey Stengel to Derek Jeter. There are not that many baseball lifers, but Zimmer was one of them.

As a way to honor his memory, Topps will be giving away a special Don Zimmer art print for free to any customers that purchase a “My Hero” print or a complete set.

The “My Hero” set can be bought at the Topps store for $49.99 apiece. These art prints are 11 inches by 17 inches. Subjects include Hall of Famers like Jackie Robinson, Lou Gehrig, Al Kaline, Mike Schmidt, Ty Cobb, Johnny Bench, Yogi Berra and Ernie Banks. There are also current stars like Mike Trout, Yu Darvish, Albert Pujols, Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, Buster Posey, Bryce Harper and Evan Longoria.

The complete set of 50 prints costs $199.99 and each print measures 5 inches by 7.75 inches and is presented in a wax pack format.

Just go to Topps.com and look for the “Wall Art” link.
