Pasco County’s top quarterback finally got his first offer.
Land O’ Lakes senior quarterback James Pensyl picked up his first Division I offer Thursday night, as Oregon State extended to the 6-foot-6 southpaw, Gators coach Brian Wachtel said.
Pensyl was one of the top passers in the area, going 167-for-292 for 2,345 yards, 22 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Pensyl also rushed for five more touchdowns en route to being named to the Sunshine Athletic Conference and the Tribune’s All-Pasco County First Teams.
Pensyl and his coaches have been hitting the recruiting circuit this offseason and during spring workouts and say USF has also show great interest in Pensyl.
