Gough wins in Limited Late Models at East Bay Raceway

— At East Bay Raceway on Saturday night, feature winners on the one-third-mile clay oval were Forrest Gough in the Limited Late Models, Sheldon Kinser Jr. in the Florida Mini Sprints, Billy Boyd Jr. in the East Bay Sprints, Buck Woodhouse in both Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stock features, and George Handy in the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers.

In the 20-lap feature event for the Limited Late Models, the $1,000 top prize went to Gough after he took race No. 1 in the two races between East Bay Raceway Park and Bubba Raceway Park. Race No. 2 will be held Saturday at BRP, also paying $1,000 to win. Gough led all the way, with Tim Powers making a hard charge at the end to finish second and Dalton Myers third. Scotty Williams, Waylon Haynes and Gough won their heats.

In the 12-lap Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stock makeup feature, Woodhouse took the lead on Lap 3 and never looked back. Terry Jones was second and David Barwick II third.

In the 15-lap Florida Mini Sprint feature, Kinser picked up his second feature win of the season, with Robby Hoffman finishing second and Gavin Thomas third.

In the East Bay Sprint 20-lap annual Bob Long Memorial feature, Guy Bos looked to be in control until Boyd slid by on Lap 19 and went on to win. Bos finished second and Kerry Gilbert third.

In the second Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stock feature, Woodhouse came from the 12th starting spot to make it back-to-back feature wins on the night. Trent Wilson finished second with Tommy Hill third.

In the 15-lap Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bomber feature, Handy took the lead on Lap 7 and picked up his fourth feature win of the season. Patrick Fiore Sr. took second and James Paes finished third.

Action continues Saturday with Late Models, Gagel’s Open Wheel Modifieds, the V8 Warriors and the Q Auto & Injury Attorneys Street Stocks.
