“The Song of the Earth” is a voyage through Mahler’s musical world of orchestra and song, as an expression of the desire to understand life’s heart-wrenching melancholic beauty. The concert closes with Haydn’s Symphony No. 45, “Farewell.”
There will be a pre-concert talk about the music and the composers one hour before curtain time in the concert hall.

The City of Tampa and Grow Financial will dye the Hillsborough River Kelly green between the Cass Street and Kennedy Boulevard bridges. The dye is non-toxic and biodegradable.
In addition to a bright green Hillsborough River, there will be entertainment, food trucks and activities at the park. The event is free. Tampa Downtown Partnership will sell alcohol, and proceeds will go toward programming at downtown parks
