BALLAST POINT — The LampLighters, which provide support for children at Metropolitan Ministries and Joshua House, installed officers for 2014-15 at a recent luncheon at the Tampa Yacht & Country Club.
They are Christine Manley, president; Kelly Breeding, vice president; Linda Mills, second vice president; Renee Furlong, recording secretary; Kari Adams, treasurer; Beth Ransom, assistant treasurer; Sandy Peterson, corresponding secretary; and Tricia Hancock, ex officio.
At the event, the organization presented checks to fund summer camp for all the children at Metropolitan Ministries and to continue the Healthy Choice Program at Joshua House. Earlier this year, under Hancock’s leadership, the organization was named the E. Earl Jeter, Jr. Volunteer of the Year by Metropolitan Ministries.
The LampLighters will have two events before a summer break. Members will host MetMin Summer Bash on June 6, chaired by Tracy Bales and Charlene Bleakley, and the Joshua House Pizza Party on June 14, chaired by Renee Furlong and Jeanette Vanderhook.
