'Hunger Games' returns to the screen

Get ready to dance

Celebrate the Blues from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Freedom Plaza Dance Club in the Freedom Plaza Retirement Community, 1010 American Eagle Blvd., Sun City Center. All are invited to this free event. Thor Stevens will provide entertainment. Enjoy a blue martini. Take a chance on a really great bottle of wine for only $10 in a wine pull. All proceeds from the martinis and wine pull go to the Alzheimer's Association.

Taste of Thai

Adults can get creative cooking ideas that capture the flavors of Thailand at 11 a.m. at the SouthShore Regional Library, 15816 Beth Shields Way, Ruskin. Rowena Sjovall of No Fuss Foods will demonstrate nutritious meals and budget-friendly recipes. Register in advance at the information desk or call (813) 273-3652.

Gospel concert by The Peytons

The Peytons, a gospel family singing group, will perform an approximately 90-minute concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the sanctuary of the United Methodist Church of Sun City Center, 1210 Del Webb Blvd. W. Mom and dad, Karen and Don, are joined by their daughter, Joey, and guitarist Jim Gulotta. To hear a sample of their sound, go to www.peytonsmusic.com. Final charity concert of the season

The final Concerts for a Cause will be at 7 p.m. at Park Square at FishHawk Ranch, 16144 Churchview Drive, Lithia will feature the music of Go Daddies with a variety of sounds ranging from rock and dance to classics. There is no admission, but concert-goers are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to benefit Feeding America Tampa Bay. Movie at the library

"The Hunger Games" will be shown at noon and 3 p.m. Saturday and again at 2 p.m. Monday at the Riverview Branch Library, 10509 Riverview Drive. Reservations for viewing the free PG-13 movie can be made at the reference desk or by calling (813) 273-3652. Refreshments will be provided. Stay after the show for a chance to win the DVD.

SUNDAY

It is play time

Simmons Loop Baptist Church will present 'Nic at Night' at 6 p.m. at the church, 6610 Simmons Loop Road, Riverview. It is a three-act children's musical play within a play about Nicodemus. TUESDAY

Fun time for children

Children 2 to 5 can hear fun stories, make a craft and have a snack from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. during Creative Story Time at the South County Family Resource Center, 3030 E. College Ave. in Ruskin. There is no charge for this activity.

Oldies car show

The High Rollers Cruise-In Car Show will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at Five Guys Burgers and Fries, 10685 Big Bend Road in Riverview. Come out, see some great custom cars and talk all things cars with other aficionados. For more information, call (813) 240-3383.
