The SouthShore and Greater Riverview chambers of commerce will host a legislative forum from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hilton Garden Inn, 4328 Garden Vista Drive, Riverview. The event is designed to give area voters a chance to meet the candidates and learn about issues affecting them. Light hors d'oeurves will be provided at no charge, and there will be a cash bar. Free child care workshop offered
The Hillsborough County Small Business Administration will host "Starting a Daycare" from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. today at the SouthShore Chamber of Commerce, 137 Harbor Village Lane, Apollo Beach.
The workshop will provide an overview of child care licensing and training; legal entities and zoning issues; marketing; grant availability; and financing options.
Chamber gets new digs
The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce has moved to larger quarters at 10012 Water Works Lane in Riverview. The additional 300 square feet affords office space for Assistant Executive Director Debbie Kirkland, who joined the chamber in July.
