Hillsborough County Fire Rescue worked a brush fire today in Wimauma that damaged farming equipment.
The brush fire covered about five acres off of County Road 579 just south of County Road 674.
No one was injured, but farm equipment in the area caught on fire and was damaged, the fire department said.
Firefighters battled the fire from all directions and used brush trucks to prevent the fire from spreading. The Florida Forest Service also assisted.
Firefighters got control of the fire in about an hour and a half.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
