Watson Glen boasts affordability, 'great location'

Since opening in Riverview in 2006, Watson Glen by M/I Homes has drawn a lot of attention, company officials say.

The first phase of 80 homes quickly sold out and the second phase is experiencing brisk sales, says Theresa Lynn Collins, president of the Tampa division of M/I.

The selection of single-family homes includes many styles, with three, four and even five bedrooms and the option of three-car garages, Collins says. M/I recently opened two new models in the community.

Many of the home designs, along with virtual tours of homes, can be previewed on M/I's Web site, www.mihomes.com.

"Our homes in Watson Glen are perfect for home buyers who appreciate the value of a new home in a desirable location" Collins says. "And the variety of home styles offered by M/I Homes means there is an option for everyone."

M/I Homes offers 20 home designs in Watson Glen that provide 1,313 to nearly 3,500 square feet of living space. Homes are priced from $191,900 to the $300,000s.

"With every home M/I sells, we guarantee to our buyers a commitment to service and value that goes beyond the industry standard," Collins adds. "The more you know about the home-building and buying process, the more comfortable you'll be."

With that in mind, M/I created the "Confidence Builder Program" as a source of home-buyer knowledge. As with all M/I communities in the Bay area, each M/I home in Watson Glen comes with the exclusive program, Collins notes.

The Confidence Builder Program includes a preconstruction conference with the home buyer's construction supervisor to review the schedule, go over the buyer's house plans and answer any questions the buyer may have. The home buyer even is provided a hard hat for use when on the construction site.

"The hat symbolizes the partnership between the buyer and the builder in the home building process," Collins says. "Part of the value in an M/I home is behind the drywall so we want to encourage our homeowners to feel free to stop by the job site and watch their dream come to life."

M/I also includes an exclusive 30-year transferable structural warranty, a guaranteed delivery date and a quality control card.

The customer also has access to the 5,000-square-foot M/I Homes Design Center, where design consultants help homeowners choose from thousands of décor options.

To reach Watson Glen, take Interstate 75 to the U.S. 301 South exit. Turn left onto Bloomingdale Avenue, and then turn left onto Watson Road. The community is less than a mile away on the right.

The model center is open from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
