So you're thinking about buying a home and don't know where to begin your search? Lennar officials say its new community in Riverview, Shady Creek, is the perfect place to start.

With homes priced from the mid-$100,000s, prospective buyers can find the perfect home for their budget, says Michelle Orf, marketing manager for Lennar Tampa South.

"Shady Creek features two different product lines," she says. "There is a home to meet everyone's needs. The community is perfect for families and the location is convenient as well.

"Location is a big draw for this community," she says. "It's close to U.S. 301 and Big Bend Road, which is a rapidly growing area. There are local schools, shopping and restaurants just minutes away. It is also conveniently located near I-75, allowing for an easy commute to Brandon, Tampa or even Sarasota and Bradenton."

Homes in Shady Creek provide 1,554 to 2,182 square feet of living space, with three to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms and two- to three-car garages.

"Shady Creek also offers beautiful conservation home sites," Orf says.

Lennar has five other communities in the South Shore area buyers can visit, too.

"We just opened brand new decorated models in each of these communities: Summerfield Townhomes, Summercreek and South Fork, which are all in Riverview, and Cypress Creek and River Bend which are in Ruskin," Orf says.

Orf says models can help buyers get an idea of what's new and exciting in the home industry and gives them a chance to look at several homes in one location.
"An added bonus is there's an industry professional there to answer any questions," Orf says.

Lennar also includes all the options and upgrades that research shows most home buyers want, she says.

"Including these options simplifies the building process and simplifies the buying process," Orf says. "This philosophy allows Lennar to purchase the most requested features in volume and pass on the financial savings to the home buyer.

"Everything you want. Everything you need. That's the logic of Lennar. A full GE appliance package, ceramic-tile floors, 2-inch blinds and maple-wood cabinetry are just a few of the features included in every Lennar home," Orf adds.

Lennar has been building homes since 1954. According to Rose Residential Reports, which monitors the Bay area real estate market, it is Tampa's No. 1 home builder based on annual closings, holding that position for more than 30 years.
