Plant City plans forum to attract commercial, industrial development

PLANT CITY Business and city leaders are hosting a May 6 meeting to tout Plant City’s potential for commercial and industrial development.

The forum will be sponsored by city government, Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce and the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp.

The meeting on economic development will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the John R. Trinkle Center on the Plant City campus of Hillsborough Community College, 1206 N. Park Road.

The event, called Plant City Right Now, will offer business leaders the opportunity to discover opportunities for corporations to relocate, build and grow in the Plant City area.

Plant City Right Now will showcase key properties available for commercial development and discuss steps being taken to prepare the way for new growth and corporate expansion.

“We welcome companies to become a part of our growing community and take advantage of the opportunities that abound here in Plant City,” City Manager Mike Herr said in a statement.
