Plant City High graduate headed to grad school at Vanderbilt

PLANT CITY Briana Corzine Wyzinski, a Plant City resident, recently graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University and has set her sights on graduate school.

Wyzinski, a Plant City High graduate, double-majored in chemistry and biology and minored in mathematics. During her years at the Nashville, Tenn., college, Wyzinski was involved in such campus organizations and activities as secretary of the Alpha Pi chapter of Sigma Zeta, a national science and mathematics honor society; Trevecca Nazarene University Honor Society; and Distinguished Leader for the year of 2012-2013.

Wyzinski, the daughter of Don and Renee Corzine of Plant City, plans to attend graduate school at Vanderbilt University’s Quantitative and Chemical Biology program to earn her Ph.D. in biochemistry. Vanderbilt is in Nashville.

Her husband, J.J., of Clearwater, is a religion major at Trevecca who plans to attend the college’s seminary next year. He and Briana married two weeks after her May 3 graduation.

Wyzinski’s father is pastor of the Plant City Church of the Nazarene.
