Plant City classes combine art with nature studies

The city is signing up children for its third annual nature art series.

The three summer classes are designed to instill in children a love for nature and art, said Shawna Everidge, environmental education coordinator for the city. The sessions are for kids 5 through 12, though older and younger siblings are welcome, Everidge said.

The classes include:

There is no charge and materials are provided. All sessions are 10 a.m. to noon at the city classroom at 705 N. Alexander St.

Preregistration is mandatory for each class. The classes are limited to 25 children and fill up fast.
