Hospital foundation executive honored as ‘Good Egg’

PLANT CITY The executive director of the South Florida Baptist Hospital Foundation has received a monthly award for community service.

Jana Butler received the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce’s Good Egg Award for November. The award is presented by the chamber chairman at the monthly breakfast meetings.

Butler has been executive director of the foundation for about 1 1/2 years. She has worked for the hospital’s health system in various capacities for about 25 years.

Her community service includes past president of the Plant City Junior Woman’s Club and board member of the Heart Walk that the American Heart Association used to sponsor in Plant City. She is currently an active member of the Noon Rotary Club and the chamber of commerce’s ambassador.

Butler and her husband of 24 years, Bart, have two children, Blair, 22, and Brittany, 20.
