PLANT CITY The Plant City Garden Club recently presented its October beautification award to Tom and Dottie Bethart, who moved to Plant City six years ago from Tallahassee.
Their home had little landscaping when they moved in, but “with Tom’s enthusiasm it is what it is today, a beautiful masterpiece of color,” the Garden Club said.
Landscaping starts at the mailbox, which is surrounded by white pentas, yellow bush daises, and salmon and pink purslane. The rest of their landscape includes a Sago palm surrounded by pink pentas, a pygmy date palm bordered by red encore azaleas and many more flowers including knockout roses.
The Garden Club presents the beautification award monthly to homeowners with exceptional landscaping.
