Archery part of ‘Hunger Games’ event for teens

PLANT CITY Teenagers will have the chance to shoot a bow and arrow as part a two-day event sponsored by Bruton Memorial Library with a “Hunger Games” theme.

On Thursday, from 4 to 5 p.m., the Plant City Archery Club will give an archery demonstration in the west parking lot of Plant City’s First Baptist Church, 503 N. Palmer St. Students in middle school and high school will have the chance to fire a bow and arrow themselves.

On Friday, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., the library at 302 W. McLendon Street will show an after school movie for teens that follows the second adventure of Katniss Everdeen. Free popcorn and drinks will be served.

All library programs are free.
