PLANT CITY More than 80 bowlers joined in an annual fundraiser for college scholarships sponsored by the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce.
Twenty-one teams representing local businesses took part in the June 6 bowling tournament at Family Bowl. Suncoast Community Health Center took home the top trophy based on scores for two rounds of competition.
"It was awesome. Everybody had a good time and we had a lot of new people participate," said Amy Nizamoff, chamber administrative coordinator who organized the tournament, now in its third year.
The event raised about $2,000 for scholarships. The chamber awards six scholarships a year.

Best of the Worst (an award for teams eliminated in first round): South Florida Baptist Hospital No. 1
Best Team Score (in first round): Gordon Food Service
Best Dressed Team: KP Construction
