A woman, possibly from Michigan, is being sought in the theft of a Hulk Hogan wrestling shoe from his store in Clearwater Beach.

The autographed shoe – worth an estimated $5,500 – was taken about 5:20 p.m. Sunday by a heavyset white woman in her 50s, according to Clearwater police.

Police said four white women, all possibly from Michigan, went into Hogan’s Beach Shop , 483 Mandalay Ave., No. 108, at 5:16 p.m. Four minutes later, a large statue of Hogan fell outside the store, and workers were temporarily distracted, police said. That’s when the theft occurred.

Employees did not discover that the Steve Cardillo shoe was missing until Tuesday evening, and then they reviewed video from security cameras and saw the theft, police said.

Anyone with information in theft is asked to call Clearwater police at (727) 562-4242.
