Wig-wearing robber strikes Clearwater bank

A man wearing a wig robbed a bank this morning, Clearwater police said.

At 10:40 a.m., the white male entered 1st United Bank, 1465 S. Fort Harrison Ave., and gave a teller a note demanding money. After getting an undetermined amount of cash, the man fled south into Belleair, police said.

The robber is in his late 20s, 5-foot-10 with a thin build and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a yellow polo shirt, tan cargo pants, black gloves and a silver wig.
