Tourists aren’t the only ones charmed by St. Petersburg’s sandy beaches.

This weekend, the biggest names in volleyball bumped and spiked on St. Petersburg’s Spa Beach for the 2014 AVP St. Pete Open.

This is the second consecutive year the competition has drawn thousands of spectators to the city to watch some of the world’s best volleyball players, such as Olympians Kerri Walsh Jennings, April Ross, Jen Kessy and Phil Dalhausser. They were competing for $150,000 in prize money.
