Two injured when watercraft collide at Fort De Soto Park

Two people were hospitalized after two personal watercraft collided this afternoon in Bunces Pass off Fort De Soto Park, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The craft collided about 5:30 p.m., FWC said. Two people on one of the craft, Wilfredo Rodriguez, 47, and Yariel Rodriguez, 16, both of Kissimmee, were taken to Bayfront Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

FWC is investigating the incident.
