The U.S. Marshals Service has arrested Germaine Davansha Small, the St. Petersburg teenager accused of robbing a couple in their 50s on the Pinellas Trail in February, police said.

Small, 17, was found Thursday morning hiding in the attic of his aunt’s house in Lithonia, Ga., St. Petersburg police spokesman Mike Puetz said.

Small was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Henry County Jail in Georgia to await extradition, Puetz said.

Small was with an accomplice at the time of the Feb. 1 robbery, but authorities have yet to publicly identify him, police said.

The female victim had teeth knocked out as Small and his accomplice took bicycles belonging to her and her husband on a stretch of the trail that cuts through the Childs Park neighborhood, investigators said.
