CLEARWATER — About 20 students from Northside Christian School in St. Petersburg made a special delivery to Pinellas Circuit Judge Patrice Moore’s courtroom this afternoon: boxes and boxes of stuffed animal toys – more than 1,600 of them.

Students collected the toys in May and made sure each was cleaned as part of a schoolwide project. They won’t stay boxed up for long, though. Judges, court officials and bailiffs working in the Sixth Judicial Circuit’s Family Court division will be handing them out to children who end up in Pinellas and Pasco county courtrooms for adoption and dependency proceedings.
