The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a convenience store was robbed a second time within a week.

A suspect robbed the City Food Market, 5028 66th St. N., St. Petersburg, at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said.

A suspect wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and jeans confronted the clerk at the counter. The suspect said he had a gun in his sweatshirt, although no gun was displayed.

The suspect demanded money and the store clerk complied. No one was hurt in the robbery, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect, described as a black man with a medium build, drove off in a four-door vehicle that is described as a late model, midsize car, the sheriff’s office said.

An armed robbery occurred at the same store March 27. Investigators are trying to determine whether the robberies are connected.

Anyone with information can call the sheriff’s office at (727) 582-6200.
