CLEARWATER — Graduates from Pinellas Technical Education Centers and other Pinellas County schools will don their best business attire this afternoon to meet with potential employers.

PTEC will hold a career fair for graduates at its Clearwater campus, where professionals in the nursing, automotive, culinary, welding, computers, marine, web design, machining and accounting industries will offer resume and interview advice. The event runs from noon to 2 p.m. in Building 2, at 6100 154th Ave. N.

For those still deciding on a career path, PTEC will hold an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today and Wednesday. Today’s open house will be held at the Clearwater campus, and Wednesday’s event will be held at PTEC’s St. Petersburg campus, 901 34th St. S.

PTEC, which opened in 1962, offers about 60 programs in more than 40 career fields and also offers continuing education courses and commercial training services. About 12,000 students attend PTEC per year for full-time career programs, apprenticeship programs, continuing education courses or commercial training classes.
